Carol Greenwald
For eight seasons, Ms. Greenwald was the Executive Producer for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Arthur, one of PBS’s most popular children’s series. Ms. Greenwald is currently the Executive Producer for three new series: Postcards from Buster, an Arthur spin-off that premiered on PBS in the fall of 2004; Time Warp Trio, based on the popular book series by Jon Sceiszka, which will premiere on Discovery Kids in July 2005 and Curious George, based on the exploits of H.A. and Margret Rey’s mischievous monkey which will air on PBS in Fall 2006.
(Read an interview with Carol Greenwald here.)Serving as Director of Development for Children’s Programming at WGBH, Ms. Greenwald has contributed to the development of Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, ZOOM, Between the Lions, and Peep and the Big Wide World. She was one of the original creators of Long Ago &Far Away, and alternately served as its project director, series editor, and producer. Prior to her work in children’s programming she was project director of two telecourses for high school and college level students: The Western Tradition and French in Action.
