Lou Laste

Lou Laste is Director of Communications & Marketing for The Verizon Foundation. Mr. Laste is responsible for Worldwide Communications for Verizon’s philanthropic efforts. His primary responsibility is communicating the value of  Verizon’s philanthropic work.

Throughout his career Mr. Laste has deployed millions of dollars in grants to hundreds of local community programs. He is responsible for leading the communications effort of Thinkfinity.org a leading educational web site that provides thousands of educational resources for free. He created www.EnlightenMe.com , an online educational site that allows children to learn while having fun. Laste received a BA in Communications/Public Relations from Rowan University. He holds a certificate in Management Leadership from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also certified in community relations from the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. Mr. Laste has served on numerous not for profit boards and is a former chairperson of the United Way North Shore New England annual fundraising campaign and has served on the corporate advisory committees for the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and for VolunteerMatch.org. He is the recipient of the Yellow Pages Media Association Gold Award for “Excellence in Community Relations”. Lou lives in New Jersey with his wife Debi and son Louis.
